    Alumni

    Alumni
Over 7000 people have participated in Arcosanti workshops since the program began in 1970. Some continue to support our project outside of Arcosanti. Some come back to Arcosanti to work or volunteer.  Alumni get special discounts on overnight stays, food in the Café, and many items in the galley.

If you are an Arcosanti/Cosanti alum, please update your contact information here.

For any questions regarding alumni activities, please contact outreach@arcosanti.org.

The Arcosanti Alumni Network is also a way to maintain a connection to fellow alumni and the Arcosanti project.

    Arcosanti Community
The Arcosanti Community consists of the people who live at Arcosanti. In the 1980s, residents of Arcosanti formed the Arcosanti Community Council (ACC) to increase the voice of community members regarding issues and affairs important to residents living at Arcosanti.

ACC is a resident forum independent of the Cosanti Foundation.
The ACC is responsible for community governance matters such as policies regarding residents’ activities and behavior not related to work.

Arcosanti is a project of the Cosanti Foundation, not-for-profit educational organization, whose mission is to promote Paolo Soleri’s idea of urban alternative 'Arcology' by building its prototype in the Arizona high desert.

Over 50 people are employed and volunteer at the Arcosanti site. Most of the Cosanti Foundation’s employees and volunteers live at Arcosanti. One of the qualifications to become an Arcosanti resident is to complete the Arcosanti Workshop program successfully. The population of Arcosanti fluctuates as we conduct various programs during the year.

Our for-profit entity, Cosanti Originals Inc., employs primarily Arcosanti residents and few from nearby communities when needed. The Originals staff produces the world renowned Soleri Bells in our foundry and ceramic studios.  We keep the Originals administrative and production headquarters at Cosanti in Paradise Valley, the original Soleri studio established in the 1950’s in the Phoenix metropolitan area.  Cosanti Originals also runs the Arcosanti Gallery, Bakery, and Café, serving both visitors and residents.
