Relationships between Arcosanti and the Italian Consular Institutions in the U.S. are going stronger.

Officers from the Italian Consulate that is located in Los Angeles, visited Arcosanti for Italian Night 2003.  Italian Night is an annual concert and dinner hosted at the Arcosanti amphitheater in July.

The concert was generously sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute, which is the Cultural Office of the General Consulate of Italy.

The Italian Cultural Institute has also hosted a Soleri Day in Los Angeles, in September of 2003.  Many people attended the event, and Soleri was able to discuss at length, his Lean Alternative philosophy.  During the discussion, Soleri fielded a variety of questions and signed several copies of his books.
The Italian Consular Institutions are also directly supporting the Arcosanti Community, too.  The Italian Cultural Institute is sponsoring the Arcosanti Italian Class providing useful, brand-new books for Matteo Di Michele, the class’ teacher and all the students.
