Arcomedia Model : Photo : Cosanti Foundation

This is a prototype model for Arcomedia, also dubbed as the Arcosanti Media Lab. Orginally conceived as part of the Minds Theater at Arcosanti, the basic architectural scheme is incorporated into the new design of the Teilhard de Chardin Complex.

The series of vaults are introduced as passive solar features (Tromb walls, etc...), adding to the spatial expression of the atria in the basillca wings.

An intrested individual will have an opportunity to "participate" by making a modular concrete panel to be used to form the vaults' interior. Occasional events can be scheduled to reveal the contents of some of the time capsules integrated into the panels.
