The peach orchard at Arcosanti was planted with a variety of peach trees that ripen at different times. This gives the garden crew more time to deal with the harvest. Agriculture manager Brad Crutchfield, on high-tech stilts, to pick some of the last peaches of the season.

Delicious Arcosanti peaches are sold at various health food stores in Prescott, Prescott Valley and Phoenix. They are turned into preserves and peach butter at High Desert Farm, a country store in Cordes Lakes owned by alumnus Randall Schultz. Here the peaches are cleaned and sliced to be dried.
