We last reported on 12/21 about work on the visitors parking lot. The lot has been enlarged and covered with a layer of ABC gravel.
Now large trucks deliver loads of a local rock called Black Canyon Gold, for the final layer.

All the concrete work was completed by local contractor Lane Malouff and his crew now distributes and levels the gravel.

The lot was closed for a few days and has now been re-opened just in time for holiday visitors. This completes the report of the first phase of work possible due to a $50,000 tourism development grant from the Arizona Office of Tourism.
The grant work report continues in a few weeks with installation of a solar electric system that will provide additional night lighting.
