Compensation: $40,000 annually with the option of onsite housing with $300 co-use fee monthly +

ABOUT THE COSANTI FOUNDATION
Founded in 1965 by Paolo and Colly Soleri, the Cosanti Foundation (TCF) is an Arizona-based nonprofit
educational 501(c)(3) organization that operates two world-famous, open-to-the-public locations:
Cosanti in Paradise Valley and Arcosanti near Mayer. The Cosanti Foundation also owns and operates the
for-profit Cosanti Originals, where we make our world-famous bronze and ceramic wind bells and other
artisan items which support our ongoing efforts. Originally established to support Paolo Soleri’s noted
architectural and urban planning concepts and research, the Foundation exists to explore the theory of
arcology (architecture+ecology). TCF’s current mission is “to inspire a reimagined urbanism that builds
resilient and equitable communities sustainably integrated with the natural world.”
Position Overview:
The Arcosanti Guest Experiences Manager reports to The Cosanti Foundation Board Chair and is
responsible for representing Arcosanti and the Cosanti Foundation to the public by maintaining the
overnight accommodation and public/community spaces, completing tours and managing tour guides,
supporting the gallery, as well as planning and coordinating visiting groups.
Key Responsibilities:
● Monitor the upkeep of the guest rooms, suites, Crafts III and ceramic bathrooms, camping and
other short-term rental spaces including exteriors
● Manage the booking and staffing for all short-term accommodations
● Ensure guest rooms and/or Airbnb’s maintain consistent standard of cleanliness and
presentation of overnight accommodations.
● Manage guest feedback and surveys, monitor and respond to online inquiries and reviews
regarding guest visits/experience
● Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of public office and community spaces
● Greet and orient the public, online and in-person, as they look to engage with our sites and
when giving tours
● Lead captivating and knowledgeable tours, managing the hiring, training, oversight of all tour
guides
● Restock inventory and place orders as needed
● Provide event support for contracted events
● Answer phone calls and emails
● Provide coverage for the overnight on-call phone and manage the overnight contact schedule
● Primary POC for emergencies that impact guest experience or guest rooms
● Available for expeditious response to visitors and guest
● Additional duties may be requested from time to time with overnight stays, the cafe, events,
tours, or the gallery
Skills/Experience Required:
● Work with others well and thrive being part of a team.
● Must be flexible about serving in different roles and cleaning different spaces
● Outstanding organizational, time management, and improvisational skills
● Must maintain a steady pace
● Experience in customer service
● Experience with giving tours and/or confidence in public speaking
● Experience with housekeeping and maintaining spaces
Physical Requirements:
● Due to the unique nature of the TCF built environment, ability to ascend/descend stairs and
move safely over uneven terrain
● Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds
